About Tiger Army

Tiger Army is a psychobilly band that blends punk, rockabilly, and dark romantic themes. Their music feels nostalgic and haunting at the same time, mixing upright bass, sharp guitars, and melodic vocals.

Visually, their world is full of bats, skulls, moons, and vintage tattoo-style graphics. That mix of classic Americana and darker imagery is what makes their style stand out to me.

Why Tiger Army Inspires Me

Tiger Army’s music hits the space between lonely and powerful, which is a feeling I connect with. Their songs feel like late-night drives, neon lights, and old memories you can’t let go of.

That mood inspires how I think about design — using contrast, bold color, and simple shapes to tell emotional stories. When I work on web and game design, I try to bring that same atmosphere into my layouts and visuals.

Key Albums & Songs

These albums and songs show the mood and storytelling that make Tiger Army important to me.

Album — Tiger Army II: Power of Moonlite

This album feels like a haunted love letter. The mix of fast tracks and slower, emotional songs shows how they balance aggression with melody, which I think about when balancing bold vs. calm elements in a design.

Song — “Sea of Fire”

One of my favorite tracks. The lyrics and atmosphere feel cinematic, like a scene from a movie. It reminds me that sound and story can shape the visuals I create, even when I’m just working with type and color.

Album — Music from Regions Beyond

This album leans more into melody and spooky ambience. The balance of catchy hooks and dark tones influences how I think about combining friendly interfaces with moodier, more personal themes.

Live Performances

Tiger Army’s live shows use lighting, color, and stage visuals to build a full experience. It shows me that design isn’t just static — it can guide how people move, feel, and remember a moment.

What I Take Into My Own Work

From Tiger Army, I take the idea that style and emotion should be consistent across everything: sound, visuals, and storytelling. That pushes me to think about my own “world” as a designer, even in small projects like class assignments.

Their mix of classic rockabilly and darker themes also reminds me that it’s okay to blend influences and create something that feels personal. As I keep learning web and game design, I want my work to have the same kind of identity and atmosphere their music has.
