LESLIE AGUILAR

Hello everyone! My name is Leslie and I am extremely excited to embark on this journey with you all! A little bit about me is that I was born and raised in Los Angeles to a wonderful family: my two loving parents and my awesome older brother who passed a lot of interests down to me. Ever since I was a youngin, I have always been interested in art. Today, you can find me gravitating towards colored pencils, pens, alcohol markers, and occasionally a drawing tablet when I decide to create art. I believe art is beautiful because you are able to express yourself creatively with or without words.

I am enrolled in ART 645 Intro to Web Design so I can learn how to apply my love for art directly to web design. I am currently majoring in art with a focus on graphic design and I would love to be a "jack of all trades" so I could have a lot skills to offer. I was a part of a summer program as a head start for high school right after I finished middle school. In that summer program, I took an interest in creating websites when I coded my first site excitedly with the help of one of the instructors there.

Once I was in my junior year of high school, I took AP Computer Science and enjoyed every bit of that class. Few years later, I hope to reignite that passion and turn it into one of my skills. I would like to use web design knowledge to eventually create my own portfolio without needing website builders such as Squarespace, Wix, or Weebly, etc. I think it would be really fun to put in the time and effort to do it myself. However, until I get to that point, here is a site I designed to display art I create.
