Biography

Hideo Kojima is a legendary Japanese video game designer, director, producer, and writer. Born in 1963, he is widely regarded as an auteur of the video game medium, known for his cinematic storytelling, heavy use of thematic elements, and breaking the fourth wall. He joined Konami in 1986 and went on to create the *Metal Gear* series, pioneering the stealth action genre and delivering some of the most critically acclaimed games in history.

Following his departure from Konami in 2015, Kojima re-established his own company, **Kojima Productions**, adopting the motto "From Sapiens to Ludens." His first independent project, *Death Stranding*, explored themes of loneliness and connection, cementing his reputation for creating unique and unconventional gaming experiences that challenge industry norms.
