When it comes to photos, GIF files are not the best in creating clear and concise pictures of photos like shown. The image is very pixelated and has a hard time in capturing the sharp colors and edges of the person in the photo. For PNG file types, while it is certainly better in color ranges and clarity of the photo compared to GIF, it is still very much lacking in tones and more of the color range. Lastly, JPG files are able to clearly capture the color and tones of the picture more clearly having a more expansive color range than PNG file types. However, JPG files take up more space which can be a concern when it comes to how much a server can handle. Therefore PNG file types which are smaller in comparison can be a substitute with how similar a JPG and PNG photos look.
